Knowledge Center for Articles

A knowledge center is an area of your website that gathers together and lists all the learning resources you may want to provide to people who visit your site. You could think of it as a library on your website, consisting of articles you’ve written and also pointing out other useful online resources.

A knowledge center differs from a blog (read more about blogs) in that blogs are often more informal, with shorter entries, often closer to journal entries than articles.

If you like to write, or if you can enlist someone to help you write, it’s in your best interest to start a knowledge center on your website. There are several reasons why you may want to create a knowledge center:

Keep in mind you don’t have to have a lot of written content in the beginning to start a knowledge center. Because websites are continually evolving structures, it’s completely acceptable to set up your knowledge center page with simply a welcome message that lets people know you intend to add articles. Then, you can add them as you write them, whether it’s once a week or once a month. Even if you can only add one article a quarter, the important idea is to plan to add to it continually, so there is regular activity on your website with new content added. You’ll find before you know it, you’ve accumulated a really useful resource that can’t be found elsewhere!

Even if you don’t feel you have an aptitude for preparing these articles yourself, you can get help with our writing or editing services….
